Both Dr Shabnam Vawda and Dr Lyndall Gourlay worked as associate dentists in Norwest for over 20 years and have earned the reputation of trusted and caring gentle dentists in the Hills. Over their years of experience together, they enjoyed sharing patient-focused dental care solutions and treatment philosophies with each other. In this environment, the seed of an idea for practice ownership was sown. This grew into a vision of creating excellence in dental care by joining their friendship and years of experience caring for people, with the setting of a comfortable purpose-made modern space.
As Sydney University honours graduates, they know the diligence it takes to create quality results. They understand how you want the best for those you love. These values inherent in their stories are reflected in their Hills District dental practice, Willow Dental Care.

Dr Lyndall Gourlay, BDS (Hons), FADI

Dr Lyndall Gourlay has been a hills district local since childhood and is proud to serve her community as co-owner of Willow Dental Care. Graduating with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery with first class honours from Sydney University, Lyndall combines this same pursuit for excellence with a warm, patient-centred approach to dental care.
With over 25 years of practice in the Norwest area, Lyndall values the lifelong connections built with patients who trust her with their oral health. She is dedicated to providing personalised treatment plans, with a particular focus on restoring smiles and function using contemporary and minimally invasive techniques. Recent advanced training includes a six-month mentorship with Dr Andrea Shepperson in Managing Tooth Wear including the use of digital smile design techniques, extensive Clear Aligner programs with a focus on Invisalign® and restorative masterclasses with international leaders such as Dr Jason Smithson.
Lyndall enjoys all aspects of general dentistry for all ages, particularly minimally invasive cosmetic dentistry including Composite Bonding, Veneers, Clear Aligner treatment with Invisalign® and Teeth Whitening. She enjoys collaborating with local specialists to help guide patients to solve complex or long standing concerns, and she loves assisting people overcome anxiety in the dental setting. Outside the practice she loves being outdoors and cultivating meaningful moments to share with friends and family over shared meals and music.
Dr Shabnam Vawda, BDS (Hons)

Dr Shabnam Vawda was born in South Africa, and moved to Australia at the age of five. Growing up in a medical family inspired her and guided her to a rewarding career in healthcare. She graduated with Honours from Sydney University.
Shabnam is a compassionate dentist who listens attentively to her patients’ concerns without judgement. She attends to every aspect of their well-being in planning their dental needs at Willow Dental Care. She is committed to performing high quality dentistry and is always keen to expand her skills and knowledge. She has done further study in complex dental restoration and cosmetic dentistry with esteemed local prosthodontic specialists, as well as training in anxiety management, focussed psychological strategies and CBT to help her patients with dental anxiety.
All her patients appreciate her warmth and expertise as they work together to achieve optimal dental wellness in the context of general health. She also has an innate ability to put children at ease for their dental visits. She enjoys collaborating with her patients to create healthy, attractive and confident smiles and, in particular, developing long-standing relationships with her patients and their families.
Outside of dentistry, Shabnam is kept busy with her three children, enjoying music and making time to laugh with friends and family.
Dr Eugenie Ree, BDS

Dr Eugenie Ree joins Willow Dental Care after having worked in the Hills area for 20 years.
Eugenie takes great pride in providing high quality family dental care. Her patients appreciate her kind and caring nature, as well as her attention to detail. Her gentle, ethical and honest approach helps her provide the best care possible for her patients. She continues to attend education courses to keep up to date with modern dental practises and is interested in managing the wellbeing of the whole person and particularly the interplay between airway, sleep and oral health. Being a mother to two boys, she understands the importance of positive experiences at the dentist from a young age. Many of her young patients actually like coming to the dentist.
Outside of work, Eugenie enjoys spending time with her family, having good coffee and playing the piano.
