Dr Shabnam Vawda was born in South Africa and moved to Australia at the age of five, where she was inspired to pursue a rewarding career in healthcare.

She graduated with Honours from the University of Sydney.

Shabnam is a compassionate dentist who understands the importance of a safe and nurturing experience, and listens attentively to her patients’ concerns without judgement.

 For over 20 years she has enjoyed tailoring treatment to individual patient's dental and emotional needs, attending to every aspect of their well-being at Willow Dental Care.

She's committed to clinical excellence and has completed advanced training in complex dental restoration and cosmetic dentistry with esteemed local prosthodontic specialists, as well as training in anxiety management, focussed psychological strategies and CBT to help her patients with dental anxiety. 

Her patients appreciate her warmth and expertise as they work together to achieve optimal dental wellness in the context of general health. She enjoys collaborating with her patients to create healthy, attractive and confident smiles and, in particular, developing long-standing relationships with her patients and their families.

Outside of dentistry, Shabnam is kept busy with her three children, enjoying music and making time to laugh with friends and family.
