Smile Restoration - Tooth Wear Sensitivity treated with Ceramic Veneers, Onlays & Dentures

This patient presented to Willow Dental Care with longstanding tooth wear affecting both the appearance and function of her smile. Years of wear had progressively flattened her teeth, causing dentine sensitivity. There was enough enamel and dentine lost the pulp (or the nerve) was dangerously close to the surface.

She was seeking a solution that would address both the aesthetic changes to her smile and the underlying sensitivity, without aggressive removal of remaining tooth structure.

We used careful planning and digital tools before any restorative work began.

This patient was not interested in implants, so treatment planning centred on what could be achieved conservatively with the existing teeth as foundations and replacing both dentures.

Key considerations included:

  • The degree of vertical dimension loss and how much could safely be restored and opened
  • Protecting the pulp of the most heavily worn teeth
  • Achieving an aesthetic result across both arches simultaneously
  • Minimising preparation of tooth structure wherever possible

Treatment involved a full-mouth restorative approach using a combination of ceramic veneers, onlays and dentures to restore the bite and the smile together.
